Regular single-vision glasses correct the blur caused by myopia but aren’t designed to slow its progression. Stellest® lenses provide prescription vision correction while incorporating a design intended to help reduce myopia progression.

How Do Stellest® Glasses Work?

Each lens combines a clear-vision area with a specialized pattern of tiny lenslets to help manage how your child’s eye grows. These lenslets are built directly into the lens and create what’s known as myopic defocus. In simple terms, they change how some light is focused in the peripheral areas of the retina, creating an optical signal intended to help slow the excessive eye growth associated with myopia progression.

In the U.S. clinical trial supporting FDA authorization, children wearing Stellest® lenses had, on average, 71% less myopia progression and 53% less axial elongation over 24 months compared with children wearing single-vision lenses.
